What apartmentespresso.com collects, what we don't, and how to opt out. Minimal data, privacy-respecting analytics, no behavioral tracking.

What we collect

apartmentespresso.com collects minimal data. Specifically:

• Server access logs — IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp. Retained 30 days for diagnostics, then deleted.
• Affiliate referral cookies — when you click an Amazon, Best Buy, or other retailer link, that retailer drops a cookie attributing your visit to us. We don't see what you do on the retailer's site — only that the referral originated from our domain.
• Anonymous analytics — page-view counts via privacy-respecting analytics (no fingerprinting, no behavioral tracking, no third-party ad networks). Currently using Plausible.io / similar.

What we don't do

• No behavioral advertising — no Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or retargeting on this site
• No data brokers — we don't sell or share visitor data
• No newsletter dark-patterns — if we ever add a newsletter, opt-in will be explicit and unsubscribe will be one click
• No account creation — there's nothing to log in to
• No comments — no PII collected from visitors

Cookies in detail

Our own domain sets one analytics cookie (first-party, session-based). Affiliate retailers set their own cookies when you click through their links — these are governed by their respective privacy policies (Amazon, Best Buy, etc.).

Email correspondence

If you email hello@apartmentespresso.com, we read your message and reply. Email contents are stored in our inbox and not shared. We don't add you to a mailing list automatically.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you're a parent who believes your child has interacted with us, email hello@apartmentespresso.com — we'll delete anything we have.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Even though we collect minimal data, you can email us to:

• Request a copy of any data we have associated with your IP/email
• Request deletion (we'll purge logs within 30 days)
• Opt out of any future communication

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the "Last updated" date below will change. Material changes (new tracking, new data collection) will be flagged at the top of the homepage for 30 days.
